We took it easy today and stayed near our home base in Driggs, ID. Went to Pendl's for breakfast where I had the maple sausage and butternut squash quiche and an iced mocha. All was delicious and we sat in the side yard again, watching a summer nanny corral 3 young children.
After breakfast, we poked around a local thrift shop. I bought a hot pink quilted "bed jacket" with Chinese button knot closures. Pepper said she imagined Zsa Zsa Gabor wearing it. I'm going to repurpose the fab fabric to make pillows for my sunbench and an evening clutch.
Soon, it was time for lunch so we stopped in Teton Thai. Pretty sure Pepper had some sort of pad thai. I had chicken satay and veggie egg rolls. The restaurant was huge, but we were the only customers save for one, lone businessman eating at the bar. I've always thought the best name for a Thai restaurant would be "Tongue Thai'd". When I lived in Washington, D.C., there was a place called Thaiphoon which was good. I wonder if that's still there. Can someone Google that for me?
